Satya Education & Welfare Association (SEWA) is a social and cultural, non-governmental and non-profit organisation. We work on education for children, livelihood for young people, healthcare in rural villages and urban slums, women's empowerment, and making more fortunate people aware of these needs.
SEWA was established in 2009 with 2 students in Jain Nagar, Village Karala, Delhi. It was founded by Sh. Kuldeep Raj, President of the Society, with its members Dr. V.K. Sharma, Ms. Sheetal, Sh. Chander Kumar, Sh. Manmohan, Sh. S.K. Sharma and Sh. Pawan Vij.
For us, helping is not simply a matter of giving money. It is a deep, long-term commitment, with a hard eye on results.
Holy Mother's Touch
SEWA runs Holy Mother's Touch, a school in an eco-friendly setting in Durga Block, Jain Nagar, Karala.
Our mission and vision
- To give quality education to poor children, so they can excel even where the government has not reached.
- To educate young people and help them fulfil their hopes in life.
- To speak for children who have no voice.
- To show families that education can change their lives.
- To build awareness about protecting our land, trees and environment.
- To bring every child into the mainstream, for a better future for them, the society and the nation.
Many children in our area cannot attend school because their parents cannot afford it. That is the need we work to meet.
